issue with Utorrent not closing, not reopening

Hi when I upgraded to the 1.8 version of Utorrent, the program stopped allowing me to close it all the way. I can still see it in the Task Manager (but not in the tray) and I can't 'end process'. I also can't restart the program as it says the application is running.

Now, I do have NVDIA Drivers installed (came standard with laptop)... but not the NVDIA Firewall. Could that be an issue?

I also am running AVG and ZoneAlarm.

Any thoughts?

It's a Zone Alarm bug. It prevents utorrent from ever finishing up i/o, and because ZA is in the kernel, the process is basically locked forever.

You have to uninstall zone alarm.
