boykin
I tried a search and didn't see anything on this error message in uT. I may have missed it though.Torrents start up fine, port is forwarded fine, then a pop up, "error. the device is not ready". This has only happened since installing 1.8. All worked fine with the last version.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

boykin
Was saving to an external. Then switched to local and still get the same error message.
Firon
By switching to local, did you remove and re-add the torrent to point it to the local drive?
boykin
Well now, just slap me stupid! I had done that but this last time didn't until you mentioned it. That did the trick.I must have missed this in the FAQ, but with the new version, can one not download stuff to an external? No big deal if not, that just saved me time from moving things. At any rate, your help was right on target. Thanks!
DreadWingKnight
You can, but you get this error if the drive letter changes.

Firon
You can change the drive letter back by doing start -> run -> diskmgmt.mscRght click on the drive, choose change drive letter and paths.
boykin
Thanks Firon. Not sure why but I was showing a new DVD drive that's not there. Guess it was a "virtual drive". Not sure, but it's gone now. All is back to normal. I should pay more attention!
