noamericano
so for a while i had a pretty fast download speed but now it's been chopped to like half of what it used to be. anyone know why? i did a speedtest and it's the same as before near the 4500kb. the upload is done by like 20kb. hope someone could give me some advice, this has been happening for 4 days

Firon
It's just a test torrent to test your download speed. Pick any of them and try it.
noamericano
ok um yeah it started off slow but then it went up up and the fastest was 577kb. soo does this mean theres no problem or what?*edit* btw i avg like 439.
Firon
Not likely you have a problem then. More than likely, the torrents you're downloading just don't have very good swarms.
noamericano
but the ones im downloading from are the ones i usually do and there mostly at 300 and now it's 150 and other fast ones are going slower. i guess i'll look at it a bit more and see if it changes eventually. highroyds
I've noticed this with some popular Torrents that I download, since upgrading to the new version 1.8 the download speed thats normally over 200kb's for me has gone down to max of 15kb's.The only thing I can think of is its because of the new version. I'll try this on my other pc and see what happens with version 1.7.7.Edit:Mines now working normally, if I've downloading a few at a time I have been putting a rule of 1kb upload, but when I changed this to 10kb the download it working fine. Firon
highroyds: the minimum required for uncapped download is 4, but if you can sustain 10, go ahead.
noamericano
firon im confused, how do i know how much capped upload or dl is? is it my global upload rate and dl rate?
Switeck
You ISP should tell you how fast your line is.Upload speed both global and per-torrent needs to be at least 6 global and 4 per-torrent to prevent download speed limits from kicking in.
