laura5 Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 Hello,Thank you to the uTorrent team for all their hard work on version 1.8! One change I'm having trouble understanding is the ETA sort order. In prior versions, clicking on ETA sorted torrents from soonest-to-finish, followed in order by later-to-finish, followed by infinities, then followed by queueds, stops and pauses arranged in alphabetical order from A to Z. This was super-helpful, since I could see immediately which files were going to download soonest. In v1.8, however, the sort order has changed. Sorting by ETA now gives me infinities first, followed by downloading torrents ordered from latest-to-finish to soonest-to-finish, followed by queueds, stops and pauses. The files I'm most interested in - those which will download soonest - are lost somewhere in the middle, with no way I can find to bring them to the top. Is there any chance of reverting back to the old sort order in v1.81? Or is there some fix for this new default sort order of which I am ignorant (in which case kindly e-mail me and please feel free to delete my post)?Thank you!(Note: I don't mean to imply in ANY way that I'm less than stupendously grateful to the brave and tireless souls who toil so kindly to provide us all with a fantastic program entirely free of charge!)
Greg Hazel Posted August 14, 2008 Report Posted August 14, 2008 Ah, this was a mistake. We removed the infinity symbol from torrents that are not running, and as a result their sort order was changed.Fixed, thanks!
laura5 Posted August 14, 2008 Author Report Posted August 14, 2008 Thank you, Alus! Is the fix available in a new download of v1.8, or will it be released with v1.81? The new order is driving me nuts Thank you again!Kind regards,Laura
laura5 Posted August 14, 2008 Author Report Posted August 14, 2008 Thank you, Firon! I'm looking forward to seeing it come up on my little white screen!
