Katzenbach
I just updated my uTorrent and once I did that, my torrents that I had running, now don't run. ETA shows the infinity symbol instead of a download time. Anyone else encounter this issue with the latest update and if so, how do you fix it??**Note:I should mention I have Vista as my OS.**
thelittlefire
Did you troubleshoot anything on your end? What happens when you start downloading http://slackware.com/torrents/ ?What does the Trackers tab say?
Katzenbach
The trackers tab shows no one but I had trackers for all my torrents right before I updated and then all of a sudden they disapeared.
Firon
Click on the torrent and then view the trackers tab. What is the tracker status?

thelittlefire
How fast are the testing torrents working? Aside from OpenOffice there is Slackware as well http://slackware.com/torrents/IF THOSE work "fine" or "normal" the problem is with the swarm. If they don't, WHAT is the tracker status in the Trackers tab?
Katzenbach
I tried using a different torrent extractor and they are downloading, so clearly it is a uTorrent problem/issue.
Firon
Did you try the slackware torrents? What is your net.max_halfopen to? What is your upload cap set to? What firewall do you use?
Katzenbach
"What is your net.max_halfopen to?"I don't know what that is or where to find it. My upload cap is set to "unlimited" and I use Windows' Vista firewall.
Firon
Global cap should be set to 70% of your max.net.max_halfopen is an option in Advanced section of the preferences.Try disabling DHT as well.

Pacific Quest
I have the same(ish) problem. I've installed v.1.8 and haven't changed any settings. Now torrents won't exceed 12kb/s. I've tried all of the torrents you have listed above and tried different sites too.
DreadWingKnight
What upload limits are you setting?
Pacific Quest
It's set to 11200 because that's what the recommended setting is (I believe) I clicked on the speed guide and that's what it set it to.The version before worked perfectly well, (except the Nvidia firewall non-compatability) and all the settings are exactly the same now as they were before. Just seems to have done it since I installed v1.8.
thelittlefire
Don't limit your upload to 1 KiBps.

Switeck
Also try the 2nd link in my signature. It gives suggested settings for uTorrent based on your max sustainable UPLOAD speed.I am reasonably certain your line cannot sustain upload speeds higher than 200 KiloBYTES/second (2 megabits/second upload)...and may only have 1/20th that!Telling uTorrent to upload faster than your line will let it...just makes uTorrent upload and download slower.
