rogue3
Hi, I have some general curiosity about multihoming a bittorrent client. I have both cable (5.0/512) and DSL (1.5/384) at my house both hooked up to a freebsd based router with 3 nics and using some ipfw/dummynet magic I have it set up to do some rather crude "load balancing" (0.0.0.0/1 uses the cable and 128.0.0.0/1 uses the DSL).I'm wondering if there are any major downsides to having a single client/client ID using multiple ip addresses. Obviously most of the incoming connections will come in on whichever interface is used to connect to the tracker. But are some clients going to "red flag" me so to speak for reporting a total combined upload from both ips?
Firon
You have to ensure that all HTTP requests go through the same IP they did on the first announce.
