IsHnU Posted August 19, 2008 Report Share Posted August 19, 2008 i recently got comcast but i heard they stopped the throttling ordeal? i can download max so far at 600kb/s but for only few sec. then it drops no by double digits, but in the hundreds back to 100+kb/s. is this the throttling issue or is there seomthing wrong with my settings? any help would be appreciated. Switeck Posted August 19, 2008 Report Share Posted August 19, 2008 Try the 2nd link in my signature.It gives suggested settings for uTorrent based on your max sustainable UPLOAD speed.For ComCast, they give 1 or 2 megabits/second upload bandwidth based on whether you have the lower/cheaper or faster/more expensive service plan.Even if you're on the faster service plan, you may want to use 1 or 1.5 megabits/second upload bandwidth settings because you're sharing your connection with others.
