devonj
I have followed all the requirements to set up by router and get a static ip address. My little icon at the bottom of the screen still has not changed colour to green and now they tell me my firewall/router is limiting network traffic. I have turned off the firewall but still nothing.Any help for this problem?ThanksDevon
Ultima
What firewall? What modem? What router?
Firon
Unless it's the windows firewall, you can't just disable it.Also, if you set a static IP, it must lie outside of the IP ranges that the router uses for DHCP.
devonj
The firewall was windows. Didn't know there was another one. For my static ip I followed directions and changed by last number as suggested. It is still disabled. An orange cicle icon. It says open up a port so others can connect to you. Also, one of my torrents is 94% downloaded and now a message appears saying Files missing from job. Please recheck. How do I do that please.ThanksDevon
Firon
Right click the torrent, advanced -> force re-check.Did you check the port tester in the Speed Guide?
