leo.lion99
In utorrent 1.7.7 there was an option to encrypt µTorrent's communication. I somehow feel that this resulted in higher download speeds as know that I have 1.8 I am getting lower download speed when I use µTorrent 1.8.I cannot find that option in µTorrent 1.8. Also after I updated my µTorrent I cannot find µTorrent 1.7.7 in downloads section so that I can go back to 1.7.7. I tried using the link provided in archives page in µTorrent site but that is a bad link.any suggestions...I am talking about this:

thelittlefire
Drop down menu.. default Disabled, options are Enabled/Forced. Right of it, is "enable legacy connections" (letting unencrypted peers connect to you) which is a checkbox.
phukenpitstop
Should I use enabled or forcedCheers
Ultima
Try Enabled first. Forced should only be used in slightly more extreme cases of throttling.
psyb
For the intelligence/reading/visually intolerant hit CTRL+P, on your keyboard, then click BITORRENT on the left side panel, then adjust settings in the dropdown as shown:
