Doe
I upgraded to utorrent 1.8 and have one problem. When my internet connection disconnects or i stop downloading torrent temporary and when i start to download it again (the program itself is active in taskbar, not shutdown) it takes so much time to recover all those peers who were connected me. In 1.7.1 it took almost nothing. Now i have to wait and wait. And now it doesn't even recover all peers. Only some of those (mainly those who have completed torrent (weird)) So even my download speeds decrease because of that.I have DHT, PEX, LPD and encryption on. I have tried to install utorrent again but it didn't help. Now i have 1.8.1 Beta Build 11903 and same problem with it.If you discover what's wrong with it it would be great if this fault(?) will be repaired in version 1.8.1.PS: In 1.7.1 it recovered all peers. Doe
I'm using avast and it has never "blocked" any programs. And yes, my uTorrent is reachable. This peer problem started right away when i upgraded 1.8.

Doe
I think it doesn't depend on my computer. I think it's the program itself 'cause this started right away after upgrading.
DreadWingKnight
I think it DOES depend on your computer because I upgraded a desktop and a laptop with no problems.http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=29748

Doe
It is allowed in rules. It uses same port as 1.7.1. And my utorrent is reachable.
DreadWingKnight
Remove and re-add the rules, as the rules you have are linked to the 1.7.x version.
Doe
No, still nothing. It takes very long time to recover peers and it doesn't recover them all.I'd like to go back 1.7.1. Why have you removed 1.7.1 from your download section?
DreadWingKnight
Because we don't support it. It's actually one of the buggier of the 1.7.x series. We only support 1.8 and the current 1.8.1 beta. You tried disabling the avast web scanner as well and possibly temporarily uninstalling comodo? Doe
Yes i have tried everything. But i still think that the problem is in program. Let's just hope this will be repaired some way. Maybe in next stable release this is repaired in some other way, maybe accidentally.
thelittlefire
... If you are connectable they will connect eventually. If THEY are connectable you will connect faster.
Doe
I found out what's the deal with recovering peers. And that's because of program for sure! I found out that it recovers only those who have 100% completed the torrent. Only those! Before disconnecting there was all users, not only those who had 100% completed. Example if there was a guy who had completed torrent 50% and completes it to 100% then it connects to me again!

Ultima
Get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, Ctrl+D (to show the lower DLL pane), select the µTorrent process from the list, Ctrl+S (and save the list somewhere you'll find easily -- like the Desktop), then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here.
