Ultima
Get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, Ctrl+D (to show the lower DLL pane), select the µTorrent process from the list, Ctrl+S (and save the list somewhere you'll find easily -- like the Desktop), then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here.Using any proxies? What's listed in LSPFix?
Switeck
I get overwhelmed by these lists probably as much as you.Normally, posts I read aren't but a paragraph or 2 long. The hijackthis! logs are like 10-20 times that and EVERY WORD is important. Ultima
1. Regarding LSPFix, what files are listed on the left-hand list?2. Are you using any proxy?3. Have you installed Teredo?4. Can you try temporarily uninstalling Symantec (and run the removal tool afterwards) just to test whether the problem persists without it?This seems like a very odd issue... Firon
Are you sure it was 300 and not 400?
Browneyes2010
LSPFix says: mswsock.dll tcpip winrnr.dll NTDS rsvpsp.dll (Protocol handler) The problem is the same with/out the proxy enabled.I don't know what Teredo is.I could uninstall Norton, but when I was running 1.7.7, Norton was running and I had no problems. I have gone back in and deleted and put back in the exception for utorrent. There was no change.
Firon
Well, Norton is a pretty poor AV anyway... it has abysmal detection rates. Still, I hadn't heard of Norton causing HTTP 400 errors.
Browneyes2010
What would be a better AV to be running with utorrent?Correction, it took a little while but I did get a proxy connection time out, when I turned it back on the HTTP Error 300 returned. Firon
AVG Free is a decent choice.http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/Do torrents from here give you the same error?
Browneyes2010
Absolutely sure it's 300. I had AVG before Norton, but had problems with spyware, ect. I wouldn't mind going back but what should I use to protect against the other malware?I haven't tried any torrents from here, where should I go to find one? Firon
Spybot S&D is good for adware and other sorts of stuff. And uh, just fill out the form and you'll eventually get a .torrent download. Or try a Slackware torrent.
Browneyes2010
OK, I'll try both.I tried it and the problem did not resolve.
WileE
I just wanted to say that I had exactly the same issue with v1.8 for all of my torrents.I have a separate PC hosting torrents of my self developed programms (without ANY other program than Windows 2003 Server and uTorrent). I didn't change anything else than the utorrent version. All torrents became marked red (on the server and on any client) and the response was always HTTP 300 to all clients (and to the server utorrent itself) - very bad. Even the replacing of the utorrent.exe file by the older one didn't resolve the problem. I should have backuped the config files too. After deleting my config files and setting up utorrent exactly as it has been set up before everything worked again. So my impression is that the update mixed up something persistently in the config file.Maybe this helps to find the (real) reason for this problem. thelittlefire
... Tracker URLs are irrespective of any settings in uTorrent. What software are you running in Server 2K3.With 1.8 (11813) they changed some networking code which results in the 11204 build of 1.8.1 ... but I still don't see how it is relevant since basically what it's saying is "you're giving me a URL which isn't exact"
krasev
I had the same trouble... if you uncheck in WebUI -> Connectivity -> Alternative listening port (8080)everything starts working just fine... no "HTTP error 300"
