Cephus
I'm a new user to the uTorrent fold after making the switch from long-term use of Azureus and so far, I love it, except for one thing...Whenever the computer is rebooted for any reason, when uTorrent restarts, the majority of torrents that were running before the restart are gone. Out of 6 torrents, 2 restarted and the rest had to be manually started from scratch. That means that all ratio information, files set not to be downloaded, etc. were reset back to zip. This happens on my wife's computer as well, we're both using build 364.Any ideas? Is it just something simple like a setting or is it a legitimate bug? Thanks. 1c3d0g
This is weird...just a few people are reporting this issue with "disappearing torrents". Since I have no idea what could be causing it, I'm going to suggest upgrading to Build 390 (and hopefully this won't be happening again)... :/
pawq
With build 390 (and lower versions) the same effect is happening sometimes to me... And addictionally uT don't remember paths for Downloadings, Completed and path for torrent files after next start there are empty boxes - I must write it again with every restart of uT. And don't keeping last position of #,Name,Size,Done,Status...etc. bars. With every restart uT seems to be resetting positions to default. All this things are little irritating. Where/what is config file for uT???

1c3d0g
Well...FWIW, if more people report this it's probably a bug. I guess Ludde will have to take a look at it... :/
dudeboyz
I went back to version 380 and it displays none of the bugs in 389 and 390. For now, that seems to be the best for me.I wonder why so many bugs are being introduced? Utorrent has been so good and stable up to now... Cephus
I'm going to upgrade to 380 and see how that works, hopefully it'll be a bit more stable. I only reboot once a week, if that, but this is still a royal pain in the patootie.
Firon
dudeboyz: beta means -beta-, not stable. stick to stable if it bothers you, it's a beta for a reason.Cephus: http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#How_can_I_make_.C2.B5Torrent_auto-load_torrents_from_a_specified_folder.3F

The problem is that active torrents, things that I've been downloading for a while, are being forgotten about after reboots. With Azureus, if you had 5 torrents active and rebooted, it would restart with 5 torrents. With uTorrent, if you have 5 torrents active, you're lucky if it restarts 2 of them. Apparently it remembers some of them, just not all of them.
Firon
I was asking if you were using either of those options (auto-load or .torrent storage)

Switeck
I always had to run SCANDISK after a system crash when using BitTornado.I've only needed to do that once with µTorrent -- due to having fewer crashes/lockups, which can be just due to better weather. ozaman
I experience the same issue, magically dissapearing torrents, it,s a pain in the *ss. I have resorted to saving a copy of .torrents in a backup folder for every torrent I have loaded, never had a problem like this in Azcrap, guess I'm going back untill utorrent releases a final stable version. Betas are a pain in the butt. And yes I have utorrent pointed to the proper folders (in case some one asks)
