breian
i've seen many people with this problem, that torrent stops at 99.8% or complete 100% and after a manual re-check returns to 99.8 (my case), just want to know WHY?different torrents from different trackers and sources ... why always 99.8?after some 're-checks' it seems to complete fine.. 100%.. and don't return to 99.8 anymore, but it starts seeding right after complete the first time, so i'm seeding a corrupted file without any checks? is there a way to activate automatic re-check after 100% download? i think it should be a default option...edit: windows vista x64 sp1 / utorrent 1.8.1 (11903)
Switeck
You may have hostile software on your computer corrupting your downloads automatically...probably roughly once a minute to 5 minutes.Any media player you have may have the capability to change MP3 tags on video and audio files...this is corruption as far as uTorrent is concerned. So turn that feature off if you find it in your media player.
breian
well my problem was in rar or iso files.. seems to be gone now but I mantain my question, is there a way to auto re-check files after finish download (and before start seeding) or should I ask for this as a new feature? DreadWingKnight
There isn't because the hash checks are done inline.Requesting the feature is pointless, as it is frequently rejected.Double-check your ram and hard disk for damage. macsa
Hi, I have same problem. I have 3 well working computers. I installed uTorrent and copied the strange rar file to them. So everything are different (RAM, HDD, CPU, ..) except torrent file. I made re-check many time and sometime re-check showed 100% is ok, othertimes not. When the re-check found error that was usually different piece of file.Sum: uTorrent re-check usually works correctly. But few case the re-check can't find the correct place of errors. thelittlefire
... not uTorrent. http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_software or injected software. People use Process Explorer DLL lists to check injected software.
