kenshigros
Since the new versions of utorrent,I find a strange problem.I am using a router Belkin, lan,up 512k and down 4 Mb.Not a long time ago,I could download at 300 approx. and upload at 50 approx. Now I have to fix upload at 20 Kb so the download speed could run fast 300>If I fix more than 20kb then the download speed drops to 100 or so.Help ?I have to say nothing changed in any of my configurations (router or computer). Is it the provider ? ISP ?Thank youMy config:cpu:x6800mem:4 Gbgpu:ati hd3000 serieswindows:x64 ultimate non-sp1utorrent latest betafirefox latest versionetc...
Switeck
Belkin routers and wireless cards are notorious for not being able to handle lots of connections at once. 2nd link in my signature, choose the 512 kilobits/second upload settings...but lower global connection max to 60 because of the Belkin router. Turn off DHT (both kinds).Disable Resolve IPs under the Peers Window. (That's expensive window-dressing considering it doesn't help download+upload speeds any.)Reduce half open connection max to maybe 1-4. (You're not firewalled in µTorrent, right? ...so it shouldn't hurt as much as you might think!)Disable resolve country flags in advanced.Disable "Enable Local Peer Discovery".If you've manually port forwarded your router, or don't have a router, Disable UPnP in µTorrent. kenshigros
Couldn't find "Enable Local Peer Discovery" but I have managed to follow all your leads but nothing happens. My download is 45 or so and upload 47.Changing to 20 for upload and here we go 345 or so.HELP
Switeck
Local Peer Discovery is right next to DHT on the BitTorrent window of Preferences.Try lowering the settings used to the 384 kilobits/second ones.

Switeck
The torrents you're on are just really slow.If you're downloading faster than you're uploading...someone else isn't!Are you getting the green light (not firewalled) in uTorrent?Does your ISP disrupt BitTorrent traffic in any way?(Ask others on the same ISP and do web searches using GOOGLE)
kenshigros
Hi again.Well guys you are all well determined to help me.But still I can't succeed to overcome this crazy problem.I discover that when I fix upload on 20k/s also when I use internet everything is slow (download).I think now somebody could help me.If it is ISP,what to do ?I am in thailand using "maxnet" but for 2 years now and I did not have this problem before. The problem just happened since 2/3 weeks tops.Is it utorrent ? I think too.To update to the last beta perhaps ?HHHHEEEEEELLLLLPPPP ! I am goiing to lose my registration accounts everywhere...
Switeck
Does any of your friends have the same ISP?And if so, do they have the same problems? Are you getting the green light (not firewalled) in uTorrent?Did you lower uTorrent's half open connection max to 1-4? kenshigros
Yes I have the green light.I have turn off every barrier (firewall,UAC,etc.)I tried wireless and LAN straight. The same. The matter that fixing upload 20k/s on utorrent make the internet goes faster, make me worry.Let's forget about utorrent for a moment because I think it is the cause but to surf the net correctly using utorrent at the same time so that I have to upload only 20k/s that's weird !Anyone ?I have tested on Xp SP3 x86 and Vista Ultimate x64 no SP1.Any help ?
