dr_snuggels
With one torrent I have constant the message "Error: The system cannot find the path specified". I can start the download again with " Force start" and a few minutes later I get the message again.Has anybody a solution for this ?Or maybe I can do a "Force Start" automatically ? DreadWingKnight
Right-click the torrent and force a re-check.
dr_snuggels
The re-check didn't work.I still have the problem.
DreadWingKnight
How many folder layers between the root of the drive and the file?
dr_snuggels
C:\R...\P...\I.. and in there the torrent puts also some more subdirectories. The download still continues after I do a force start, but only for a few minutes.Sometimes 2 minutes and sometimes for 30 minutes. Then also at trackers the [local peer discovery] and [peer exchange] are inactive and behind the trackers it says scrape ok. Firon
Path is too long. Save the torrent closer to the drive root.
dr_snuggels
Also didn't work.I tried on different drives.
Firon
Some torrents are made for linux systems where there's no real path limit, and in those cases, you'd have to use the "Relocate" feature in the files tab to manually change those files with too long paths. NIAGARA
I have exactly the same problem, ERROR:"THE SYSTEM CANNOT FIND THE PATH SPECIFIED". The only difference is that this is about a lot of files!!!! One full serie...I try a lot of times to restart, but It's not going on. How I can do? dr_snuggels
That's the same with me, there are a lot of files in it and I do everytime a force start.Sometimes its downloading half a minute and sometimes 10 or in between it.I don't think the problem is that the path is too long.Sometimes I have torrents with a much more longer path, without any problems. thelittlefire
Have you TRIED moving your "possibly\not\probably\too\long\pathname\for\a\file.ext" to something closer to the path root? http://utorrent.com/faq.php#While_torrenting_I_get_error_the_system_cannot_find_the_path_specifiedAn advantage to 1.8 IS the ability to go to Files tab, right click, and relocate ONE file's path to the root if you have alot of files though you'll want to try and repath the WHOLE torrent closer to root, using right click, advanced, set download location.
