New update 1.8 Problem?

I updated to new 1.8 version at the end of last week. The problem is that since doing so My download speeds have fallen by two thirds or more. I download most of my suff from the boxbz and Uknova and both sites are downloading much slowwer than I had with the old version.

Can I revert to the older version without loosing my seeding abillity of everything I have downloaded on my hard drive or has a setting changed with the new version that will fix this situation and how would I do this?

Iam quite new to using torrents so forgive me if I have missed something simple that could have resolved this .

Try some openoffice based torrents and see if you get better speeds: http://distribution.openoffice.org/p2p/

Also, are you running any software firewalls? Make sure you remove and create new rules for the new version.

Thank you for the suggestions. Downloading open office I could only achieve a max of 35KBs and so will go to the other site you suggested and see what I can sort out from there. Thanks again
