ramesh_pala Posted August 27, 2008 Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 i am newbie.. i was trying to downlaod a 1.7 gb torrent... after hours of download i found only 10% completed but my total download was more that 500 mb...then after check i found 75% of what i downloaded was "failed hash check".I stopped the download now is there anyway i can stop this and continue downloading with this error.Wasted : 334 MB (666 Hash Fails) Please help. hunters1 Posted August 27, 2008 Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 well if u have a router with the dmz function which is turned on may cuz corruption in the data u are receiving (that was the prob i have and i still need to know if it fixed it or not) and i read this from a link a moderator (something like that) posted in my threat and if it continues it may be the sender is sending the data and they will be banned automaticly (utorrent has problems banning in old v) after 5 or more failsi hope i helped u Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Switeck Posted August 27, 2008 Report Share Posted August 27, 2008 The only worthwhile solution when you get that many hash fails and that much wasted data...is block the hostiles using uTorrent's ipfilter.dat file.They quite likely are in a narrow ip range...and there's probably a LOT of them. Another giveaway is they're often using the same BitTorrent client (usually Azureus in the past.)Good luck...and please post back if you found their ip range/s.
