Switeck
I'm seeing LOTS of messages like this:[Transmission 1.33 (82.4)]: Disconnect: Invalid packet lengthAnd they ALWAYS seem to be Transmission Clients. Is there a communication bug between uTorrent and them...or are they just plain buggy?I also see them attempting multiple connections to my ip at once. thelittlefire
Invalid packet length was... fixed between uT clients and uT and libtorrent. Not sure about Transmission. Were these for magnet: links?
bgmnt
I'm getting the same problem from Transmission 1.34 client as well.
Switeck
These Invalid packet length disconnects were on an ordinary torrent, not a magnet: link.I've talked to Transmission developers...but they seem unaware of connectivity issues between uTorrent and Transmission.I was also seeing Transmission clients attempt as many as 8 connection attempts to my ip in less than 20 seconds. Only delaying factor was they couldn't encrypted handshake any quicker than that.
thelittlefire
If you have contact info for the developers, I'd pass it along to alus, to share ideas. I know the invalid packet length fix was "simple"
Switeck
alus has talked more with them already than I have.
thelittlefire
Then it sounds like Transmission has created a rift between Azureus/libtorrent/uTorrent and themselves :/
Firon
1.33 had some connectivity bugs that were fixed in 1.34.
Switeck
I've connected to a few Transmission v1.34 clients...there's still lots more work to be done.
thelittlefire
As soon as I talk to someone I think I can get whatever you need running both uTorrent and Transmission on localhost without encryption.I can only seem to get "Disconnect: Invalid packet length" 1/100 connection times That and there's no way I can find to add a peer within Transmission. Klaus_1250
Same here:[2008-11-05 21:54:33] 79.72.xx.x:56694: [Transmission 1.34 (82.5)]: Disconnect: Invalid packet lengthabout every 30 seconds :-( Rather annoying as it is the only reachable peer. DreadWingKnight
TR only?if TR only, it's probably TR bugs (again).
Switeck
Not so much as Transmission "again" as it never stopped.
teohhanhui
It seems to happen between µTorrent 1.8.1 and Deluge 1.0.5 as well. Works sometimes. Also, both fail to see each other as local peers but instead as remote peers. I'm running them on the same machine using different ports. It seems to happen only when full stream encryption is enabled in Deluge.
