Aquaphire
Hey guys,First of all, I just wanted to let you know that I'm not a complete newb...I have a Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router with SpeedBooster (WRT54GS) and have forwarded the ports as mentionned in portforwarding multiple times. Despite turning off all firewalls and forwarding ports 6880~6889 and port 1723 that I'm currently using to bypass bell canada's throttling, the speed test still tells me that the port is closed and my download speeds are still caped @ 30k/sec.Please help, thanks. Ultima
What modem? What firewall? Set a static IP up for your computer outside of the router's DHCP range?
Aquaphire
The modem is a weird ACN modem... and firewall is the windows XP firewall.Any recommendations for a static IP?Also, on an unrelated (or probably related topic)... forcing encryption and disabling legacy incoming ports doesn't seem to resolve the throttling issue. My internet is at dial-up speeds anytime utorrent is open, did I miss something?
