HTTP Error 404

Hello,

I have searched the forums, and I realize that this questions has been asked before, but the question was usually solved by either renewing the torrent or the tracker. I have been using utorrent for several years now, and it has always been my client of choice until I started receiving this message. In essence, any torrent that I load will momentarily acquire a blue down arrow, but will then turn red. I have tried this across many private/public sites, and the same issue persists. Here is the complete error message if it helps:

[DHT] not allowed

[Local Peer Discovery] not allowed

[Peer Exchange] not allowed

http://tracker... HTTP Error 404

Any help would be greatly appreciated in this issue, as I really dislike using the bloated vuze

... 404 means it doesn't exist. Double check first that the tracker exists.

ALSO, you don't mention alot of trackers, only one, which starts apparently with "tracker". What version are you using (Alt-H-A, please include both version and build)?

I'm certain that the tracker exists, I have tried this with torrentleech/waffles (private trackers) and the public mininova/thepiratebay. The torrents fail to work in utorrent entirely, and when I load them into vuze they all work fine. Because of this, I think the issue has something to do with utorrent itself, not the torrent or the tracker.

I'm using utorrent 1.8 build 11742. I appreciate your help in resolving this.

Nothing to do sorry, 404 means DNE. Are you sure you don't have something blocking communications?

get Process Explorer from sysinternals.com, run it, Ctrl+D (to show the lower DLL pane), select the µTorrent process from the list, Ctrl+S (and save the list somewhere you'll find easily -- like the Desktop), then post the contents of the saved process list in the .txt file here

Where's your logfiles? ... 404 means it is not there. Either your security software is stupid, or your sites are down.

If the tracker actually does exist (easy test, copy the tracker URL and try viewing it in your browser), then it's your firewall to blame.
