Switeck
At least 4 KiloBYTES/second upload speed per torrent AND 6 KiloBYTES/second upload speed GLOBAL. Your ADSL is probably not 2 megabits/second upload max...that is probably only its DOWNLOAD max.So if you've been using 2 megabits/second upload max, you're probably killing your download speeds...and even hurting your upload speeds in the process! Firon
Raise your per-torrent upload cap to 4, or even remove it and just set a sane global upload cap.

bossa nova
Hey. That's exactly what's happening with my torrent for few months now. The maximum download rate is 12kb. Don't know what to do! Should I download an earlier version of μtorrent?
DreadWingKnight
No, you should stop setting per-torrent upload limits.
thelittlefire
You should stop what DWK says, and stop being a leecher. If you don't want to upload, switch to something which doesn't require uploading of others to be downloading for others as the BASIS for the protocol/program/system. murdock
I also have version 1.8 running on Comcast at about 8200kbs down and 1800kbs up... Last week I was downloading at about 300kbs and now it will not go higher than 12kbs. I changed nothing from last week to this week so I know it's not my settings. Something else is going on. DreadWingKnight
If you were setting per-torrent upload limits, IT IS YOUR SETTINGS.
