scubaboy04
I'm kind of new to this, so I'm not really sure what to do in this situation, sorry if this is a very basic problem. As the files are downloading, the availability bar has turned red, and there's a little yellow sign that says no incoming connections and that there may be a problem with my network configurations. I've downloaded other files, so I know that utorrent works on my computer. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Ultima
What does the Speed Guide's port tester say about your port? What modem/router/firewall are you using?
scubaboy04
I'm using a D-link router and my firewall is a mcafee program. what is a speed guide port tester?
Ultima
Ctrl+G in µTorrent... There's a port tester -- check it. And do tell what modem you're using (not just router).
scubaboy04
I'm not sure what modem it is, where could I figure that out?
Ultima
It should be a small device connected to the router... Follow all wires from your router, and list the devices that are not computers.Do tell what the port tester reports.
thelittlefire
Disconnect your router, refresh your IP, start > run > cmd /k ipconfig /allGo to your default gateway's address in your browser it may tell you make/model. The modem is the thing between the ISP and your dlink.
scubaboy04
Well, my router is connected directly into my computer through a USB port, so I'm not sure what the modem would be, but I opened utorrent today and now it's working just fine. I think it's odd, but if it's working I can't complain.Update: Nevermind, now it's doing it again. Any ideas?
