IP address filtering

What is the IP range used by the US. The reason for this is there are too many agencies dedicated to tracking you through various means and i thought a semi-decent measure would to be to block america from my uTorrent.

The fact i would be losing hundreds of thousands of peers does not bother me in the slightest.

Any response would be appreciated but i would prefer it to be somewhat researched as i don't want to black 90% of the world.

PS I have done my own research and have found nothing.

... You understand trying to block ALL of a specific country is silly and quite difficult.

To use filtering within uTorrent, http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_is_ipfilter.dat.3F but understand that if you're worried about downloading content you shouldn't do it. I would commend you on trying to make your own list though Many people blindly accept lists provided by others thinking it will do you good.

Europe has its own copyright monitoring companies working for various content industries. Japan has their own, as does Australia...and quite a few other Asian-Pacific countries.

Blocking the USA will solve nothing.

I have 30000 filtering entries all of which are USA's ip addresses. I am aware other countries monitor copyright but the US is the biggest country and therefore the most threatening. I would block the majority of the world but that would defeat the purpose of uTorrent.

The great thing is Australian copyright agencies can't touch you (and can't be bothered) and ones in other countries are way too lax to start a law suit in Oz. HAHAHAHAHAHA uTorrent for all!! :<>
