WRT54G Port Forwarding. My brain hurts.

I have a WRT54G V8 with firmware 8.00.5. uTorrent v1.8. I can't get port forwarding to work for the life of me. I've tried the port forwarding, port triggering, upnp on, upnp off, windows firewall on with exceptions, off, etc... Same deal with azereus. Followed all the tricks and guides I could find online. I'm convinced that port forwarding just plain doesn't work with this model. If someone has the same model and a working setup, can you please give me ALL your pertinent settings?

No DSL (satellite ISP). Static IP of 192.168.1.102 (removed from the DHCP pool). I've even gone as far as turning off windows firewall and setting the router for DMZ. Still refuses to acknowledge an open port. I'm pretty well fed up with this router (linksys really appears to have gone downhill in recent years). Is there a recommended router for use with BT? Thanks again.

Your using satellite? You probably can't port forward because of your ISP then :( If you want to be sure, post the first two parts of your Linksys IP address, as listed in Status, the section that says Internet. I haven't heard of anyone NOT being screwed over by satellite though :(

I apologize, I mis-spoke before. It's Bell WiMAX. The person whom I'm setting this up for just referred to it as satellite because it uses a dish. It does however provide them with a dynamic IP (though I can't fathom that being the problem). I did run a web-based "torrent friendly isp" checker and the connection passed. This is maddening to say the least. I'm going to try and connect directly to the incoming line (bypassing the router altogether). If it passes that test, I'm going with a different router.
