Utorrent won't let me search from the bar.

I just recently downloaded the latest version of Utorrent and for some reason whenever I type something into the search bar in the main screen, (bar in the upper right corner), I then proceed by pressing [ENTER]. Which is of course, normal. But for some reason it won't do anything. I press enter and I hear a "ding" sound as if there was an error. I have Vista and I also have AVG. I configured my firewall to let Utorrent through. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

... that bar works from your default browser in the Control Panel > Add Remove Programs > Set Programs Access and Defaults.

Be sure your browser is set there.
