johnviv Posted September 10, 2008 Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 hi all i have downloaded frostwire and limewire, at different times and i find that they become the preferred torrent downloader, i have unchecked the boxes asking if i want frostwire and limewire the preferred downloader but utorrent wont start on the download,utorrent 1.8 build, and i have uninstalled them all using revounistaller to make sure that there was nothing left in the registry, and reinstalled about 3 times.any sugestions, for away forward, and has any body else found a solutionmany thanks johnviv.. thelittlefire Posted September 10, 2008 Report Share Posted September 10, 2008 Limewire is annoyingly silly on its part... http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=33939 would help I think if it's Windows... but if it's your browser as DWK seems to think, you need to remove and re-add the .TORRENT "handler", basically the link you give it so it WILL show/allow auto-listing and downloading to that external executable.
