thelittlefire
McAfee runs/installs FAR TOO MANY processes. I'd start by disabling all services temporarily: start > run > services.mscLook for and find all mcafee services, right click, stop, right click, disable. Then make sure you're http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php correctly and if needed follow the http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm guide for your modem and / or router. thelittlefire
Running without AV/security doesn't necessarily make you compromised. You're less vulnerable with it, even less so with good security practices. Are you behind a router? If so there's not much better protected you can be even if you keep up to date. Routers block all traffic by default which you don't let through. That's why you need to forward the port through it for uTorrent to receive incoming connections. But the main fact that you have a red indicator light means you have to take drastic measures to get connectable. I re-read your post and saw you paid for pfconfig? That's not really a useful tool IMO, so I'd recommend getting a refund/reversing the charges. Firon
Well, apart from the fact that McAfee has poor detection rates, much like Norton, you'll have to configure it, like any other firewall, to allow incoming connections to µTorrent. That, and software firewalls aren't very useful when behind a router.
