DreadWingKnight
Are you setting per-torrent upload rates?Have you tested with OpenOffice torrents?
Switeck
Your ISP, Tiscali UK, is hostile to BitTorrent traffic...and may have started heavily throttling in your area. What settings are you trying to use (and failing) in uTorrent?...as shown by Speed Guide (CTRL+G) window. tez1love
i set it up using one of the tables from this forum,im with pipex which i suppose is tiscali after all, but i didnt have any of these problems with the earlier versions of utorrent , i suppose throttling could be the answer. Switeck
Latest beta v1.8.1 should be noticeably better than v1.8.It probably won't do much to combat the throttling though...
Guest
I wish there were forums where rules would only allow proper english and gibberish/crippled l33t typing would result in a lock...nevermind meThanks for pointing out the 1.8.1 thing Switeck. Switeck
I wish there were forums where rules would only allow proper english and gibberish/crippled l33t typing would result in a lock...Nothing in the posts on this thread really merit that comment in my opinion. (So it's essentially off-topic, though I agree with the general sentiment.) But if you want, I can dig up some GOOD examples of gibberish. Gotta love the all small letters or CAPS posts with absolutely NO punctuation!
Rialta
Although it doesn't seem to affect Utorrent speeds, unfortunately, I use OpenDNS which in my case DOES make the internet faster.
Guest
Swi, I might be overreacting a little in such posts of mine, but I cannot help it; whenever I see stuff like "plz", "any1", "wot", ... I guess I have spent too much time on the internets:))The worst thing is that usually native speakers (mostly U.S. residents) type like this.Go ahead, make me sick
