Kazuaki Shimazaki Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Exactly what the title says. I happen to see a few related torrents. They are only available at TorrentMatrix's private tracker, so I registered. I see no indication that I'd need them often in the future, but it is my first experience with private trackers.Anyway, I see a few uTorrent guys there (this group hasn't banned BitComet). However, the short version is that the tracker does not seem to be updating my account's down/up statistics. Even when I stopped briefly and quit uTorrent (to upgrade), I went in and it still didn't update. I can't find the Manual Updating function their FAQ says is available either.Maybe it is a temporary problem, but I figure I'd start early and ask around for whether anyone here uses TorrentMatrix and if they have problems with it. I don't think I want to use BitTornado (the client they recommend). There is no reason why, as long as uTorrent meets norms (as I believe it does) that I have to use BitTornado...Update: It finally shows something other than zero. It now shows 26.13MB down and 12.53MB up. Except that I've already downloaded hundreds of MB from any one of the torrents I've taken from it.
Firon Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Some trackers don't update instantly. Demonoid takes up to 24 hours.
cj_speedy92 Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 hi im having a problem downloading torrents from torrentmatrix and using them with utorrent every time i try to download a torrent with utorrent from torrentmatrix.com it says that it is an invalid torrent file and i already have associated utorrent with the torrent files. wht shd i do??????????? :/
jewelisheaven Posted June 7, 2008 Report Posted June 7, 2008 interesting thread resurrection... if the torrent doesn't open in BFE (linked below) then it's not valid bencoded data. If you use an editor or hex edito ou may be able to figure out what's wrong with it. Usually direct downloads from the browser signify the server is br0ken. If on the other hand it's RSS say for instance, it could be missing :COOKIE: information.
