Zinedin
What is UPnP? And most importantly, what is UPnP port mapping and why is there an option for enabling and disabling this in uTorrent client?I followed the port forwarding guide at Port Forwarding (http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Vood/322/Utorrent.htm) in order to configure my router for proper use with uTorrent. At the very beginning of the guide, it suggests that I should disable UPnP port mapping. UPnP port mapping is by default enabled in uTorrent. So why should I disable it? Do I have to do that?... is it necessary? Thanks in advance!
Ultima
If you forward your port manually, there's no reason to se UPnP. UPnP forwards ports manually, but if you can forward your port manually, that would be better.
