mapple
I am using utorrent 1.8 and I am having an issue where the global download rate is always at the maximum for my cable (Comcast) connection. This causes a dramatic decrease in other traffic (e.g. web surfing, file transfers, printer sharing). This seems to happen whether or not I am actively downloading or seeding (e.g. I just removed all torrents so I had a blank screen and the global download rate was hovering around 750 KB/s). I have tried to set the global maximum download rate to 100 KB/s but that had no effect.Any suggestions would be appreciated. BTW, if it helps, the router (Buffalo) I am using is running DD-WRT v24. mapple
That was it. Thank you! I feel like I wasted your time but I could not figure this one out. I forgot that I had tried to use the RSS downloader but it never worked for my purposes. After deleting the RSS and a restart of utorrent, all is fine.
