magnumforce2006
Port forwarding is a go go, but I have absolutely no upload speed, and no idea how to tackle it.I do, however, have an idea why... Could it be because Comcast is my ISP? :-/
Switeck
If you are trying to seed torrents, ComCast WILL disconnect peers from you.Forcing outgoing encryption can help...and possibly unchecking allow incoming legacy (unencrypted) connections. So too *MIGHT* disabling DHT, LPD, and Resolve IPs (right-click in PEERS window of an active torrent).2nd link in my signature for uTorrent settings...you probably should go no higher than 1 megabit/second upload. And even that may try to create too many connections for your computer/network to handle. Some routers don't handle more than 100 connections at once without problems. Wireless and USB connections are really bad about that too.
magnumforce2006
Unfortunately, none of those measures helped :-(Thanks though. I suppose I'll just have to wait until Comcast stops this practice... Which will likely be never.
Firon
They actually will and are in the process of doing so. http://www.comcast.net/terms/network/update/
magnumforce2006
Actually, interestingly enough, I passed this test for both a normal and uncommon port with bit torrent uploads:http://broadband.mpi-sws.mpg.de/transparency/bttest.phpIs there something else that could be causing this problem? Switeck
ComCast is probably aware of the test and could change Sandvine to ignore (just) it.I did the test too and passed it...while my seeding is being disrupted. uTorrent logs are full of "Disconnect: Peer error: Error 10054" ...reset by ComCast!
