matt9b
Upgraded from an older version of utorrent to 1.8 stable, and it crashes all the time. I lost the older version so I'm stuck with the new updated version that doesn't work. Here are the details: Using utorrent on dedicated torrent box. It crashes every 5 seconds, more or less. Just freezes up and I have to force-close it.Tried uninstall, and fresh re-install of utorrent, several times. No use.Using Utorrent 1.8 stable.Windows XP SP3 with all latest updates.1.5GB RAM, 2Ghz processorany help?
thelittlefire
Hmm, hardware? Wire(d)-less? ... You want to upload the .DMP files found in the uTorrent directory (compressed) to http://mediafire.com ? You have any http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Incompatible_software installed? You remove and re-add the rules for uTorrent to your security/firewall/AV suite?
matt9b
I closed Panda Antivirus protection, and utorrent works now.Only problem is, I need antivirus protection to be running whilst utorrent is running!
TG
If you are looking for an alternate antivirus i would recommend AVG Free or Comodo (www.comodo.com)
Firon
You could try out 1.8.1, but it probably won't make a difference. Look into Panda's configuration and look for any firewall-like feature. P2P scanner, email scanner, and so on. DIsable all of them or add utorrent to their exceptions.
