I posted a thread a couple days ago about vista pretty much not allowing access to Utorrent or any other torrent program. I made an exception in the windows firewall, only this time I added a port and it finally let me install Utorrent the right way. Only now though, it will freeze after 20 seconds or so, for about 3 or 4 minutes, then run fine again, then freeze again. Short of putting my head through the monitor, I'd like some suggestions please. I'm running Vista basic, 512MB, 120GB HD, AVG 8, 2Wire 2701HG-B router, and a 2Wire wireless gaming adapter, on 6MB internet. Someone suggested maybe malware, but I cleaned this thing top to bottom with AVG and Defender. Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

What CPU have you got? If you got a AMD X2 you need to install the cooln'quiet driver (basically the disk that came with your motherboard)

As problems with vista and the drivers cause this to happen.

All I've got is the AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4GHz.

Yea seems like you need to install the new cpu driver.
