moogly
Hi.I got this Vista error twice. I never got it before with uT 1.8 & Vista. Error message (translated from French to English by me): "uTorrent is running but not responding. Close all uT processes and restart"This pop-up appears when I try to open a torrent file from a tracker (with "Open with..." function of my Internet browser) or if I open the torrent saved on my HD.Anyway uT is responding in my task bar and running correctly (in my task manager). In addition I can open a torrent from an url (with specific button in uT)...Any idea why Vista thinks uT is not responding even if it's false ?Thx. thelittlefire
Something about McAfee? It's possible "memory protection" feature could be cause...What browser/version? So with the dialog up, you can open uTorrent in the systray and it will work?
Firon
I'd put my money on McAfee, not Roxio. Though you should disable Roxio Watch.
moogly
Browser version: last Fx 3.0.2.What is the systray ? it's the dialog box of the browser ?
thelittlefire
Sorry you call it the taskbar (when you mentioned it wasn't misbehaving in the Task Manager). That little area to the bottom right with the clock is commonly called the "system tray" or "systray" for short.
moogly
lol ok systray = task barYep uT in taskbar was responding and running fine. I clicked on the icon to pop-up uT and see if it was freezing or stg like that but all was good. Only adding a torrent directly with Vista (from HDD) or Firefox (dialog box) in uT sent an error msg.I will try to shutdown a Roxio module.
