Hestabbedbasil
I've been having some serious problems with uTorrent lately, as have all of my roommates. We use the program pretty heavily and as a result, have a pretty large number of connections open for seeding. After the connection working fine for a while, we began to have problems with (I think) the router. Connecting to the modem directly takes care of the problem. I think it's the number of connections that are making us unable to seed/use the internet whenever utorrent is running. We've tried a WRT54G, which was one of the "unfixable" models listed, as well as a d-link EBR-2310. Can anyone suggest a router which will be a little better equipped to handle those connections? Am I even understanding this whole connections business properly? Thanks!!
Firon
A WRT54GL with the Tomato firmware wold work well. But you still need to keep the connection count under a few thousand.
Switeck
Crazy to have more than 500. And that's if you're ALL running separate file sharing programs.
