tokm-nikita
I have two sudden declines:These last few days all my torrents go very slowly. I tried returning to 1.7.7, but same story. What I really find strange is that for the first ten-or-so minutes I get e.g. 6(79) seeders and 14 (178) peers, and then suddenly that becomes 2 and 6 for example.Anybody care to explain these two things? DreadWingKnight
Who is your internet provider? What uT versions have you tried?
tokm-nikita
My provider is the Israeli 012-smile, that worked for me all this time. Tried 1.8 (build 11813) and 1.7.7.There is worse than the example I give before: it might become 0 (79) and 2 (179). Within just some 10 minutes from starting. And I would like to stress that this is a regular thing, not some once in a millenium case.
DreadWingKnight
Have you tried the 1.8.1 version?Have you tried openoffice torrents?
tokm-nikita
As a matter of principle I don't use beta-versions. But for argument's sake I'll give it a try. Please excuse me being an ignoramus, but what is an openoffice torrent? So I don't know whether I am using them or not. I just find torrents for the films/music I want and then use them.

tokm-nikita
I'm now using 1.8.1 and the abovementioned problem did not repeat itself. I still don't get good speeds, but that must be because of the specific swarms. What this openoffice thing is good for I still do not see. What should be my settings if download speed is 187kb/s and upload speed 17 kb/s? And, by the way, why would 187 kb/s be called by my provider a "1 1/2 mega connection"?
mishkin11
hi, i'm an israeli user as well and have had a sudden decline in download speed as well over the last few days- files i was downloading up to 300KBps now download at 20-50-KBps max. i have not installed any win updates, and have changed my port, re-adapted my connection speed settings (though they were working fine a couple of days ago), enforced encoding... what is going on? i am guessing that if it was something to do with my provider the speed would drop altogether... BTW- if i open simultaneous downloads, they can each run up to 50KBps, so total download speed can be good- just not for any one torrent.the fall didnt come all at once- it went down to about 100KB till today
