gennty
Hi everyone, if someone can help me I am downloading a very large ISO file, and I am having difficulites, I am in Kosovo and my ISP is KUJTESA, I am behind a Cable Modem and a Wireless Router that i Purchased by myself (just to have internet connection in all my house), I have tried to forward a port but nothing, I dont have access to configure my modem becouse is UNCONFIGURABLE, i configured my router but nothing, allso i checked with my ISP and they allow uTORRENT, my download speed is 2 mb/s and my upload speed is 500 kb/s, i fixed everything at preferences and settings of utorrentanother explanation, at the begginig my download speed of the file was 300 to 500 kB/s and at the time when downloaded file reached 700 MB the dowload stoped and then upload started with 3 kB/s to 50 kB/s, sometimes download starts but with a very low speed like 0.1 - 0.2 kB/s
Switeck
The file might be a fake or poisoned (resulting in LOTS of hash fails). The availability may be less than 1, meaning there's not 100% of the file available to download.2nd link in my signature gives suggested settings for uTorrent based on your max sustainable UPLOAD speed. The 512 kilobits/second upload settings seems the closest to your 500 kilobits/second upload bandwidth. Switeck
Last I checked, you were on an AOL Proxy line. uTorrent doesn't work well with proxies...and AOL leases its internet hardware at least in the UK from a hostile ISP that cripples BitTorrent down to almost nothing.I can't fix that, nor do I think that's uTorrent's fault. On top of that, I don't even know what you've done/tried (besides a mention of using xx/256k in Speed Guide)...or the speed of your line...or if your computer isn't overrun with viruses, trojans, and hostile commercial software that isn't causing or adding to your misery.
