andy525
Hi. I have been using uTorrent successfully for a year and a bit now. However, I have just moved into a university halls of residence and though my internet is working fine I can't get uTorrent to connect. All my torrents have red icons and at the bottom in the middle it says "DHT: Waiting to log in" or "DHT: 0 Nodes (login)". This has never happened before, it has always just worked automatically for me before. I am running uTorrent 1.7.7 on XP SP3. Help would be very much appreciated. andy525
Ok. I've now downloaded uTorrent 1.8. Same problem though. I'd really appreciate it if someone could solve this for me.
DreadWingKnight
Use internet not provided by the university is pretty much all you can do.
thelittlefire
Using filesharing applications when you agreed not to in the dorm AUP/FUP is a good idea to lose your internet permanently or go on probation. Ask around, turn off extra settings, lower your connection numbers... if you must insist to try .torrents you may need to use magnet: links.
