Helito
Curiosity: I am brazilian and would like to know how µTorrent is pronounced: "mitorrent" (the greek letter) or "microtorrent" (because it is small)? Thanks!

thelittlefire
Searching here would have already brought you several discussions about it. You can start with your examples (micro or mu)... or even like Lord Alderaan's post links to, ludde's choice for "youtorrent".

Firon
Microtorrent is technically correct, but youtorrent is acceptable.
Fangs404
I've always pronounced it "mu torrent" since μ is the Green letter "mu." "You torrent" is just wrong on so many levels.
Lord Alderaan
Wrong?Grammatically wrong in English or not it is the most common and one of the intended pronunciations. And most people pronounce it that way at first glance. It might not be technically correct English but this is the internet. Language is a lot more flexible here. And also why should the English pronunciation of the Greek letter µ be the only right way and all other ways wrong 'on so many levels'?Pronunciation discussion on Wikipedia (yes I can be an know-it-all smart-ass sometimes)
Ultima
It can only be wrong if the creator says so. And the creator calls it "you torrent" as well, so no, it's not wrong.(I call it the same way simply out of convenience, and the fact that the site domain uses u -- yes, I know it's a limitation with domain names, but nevertheless, it's an acceptable pronounciation)
bizzyb0t
I know all the fancy Greek letter pronunciation, I understand that the µ is "mu" or "micro" but I always thought that "U-torrent" was simple to say, so I've always said it that way too.
