Xantrias
Hi all, first some info:Modem: Netopia 3397GP, newest firmware.IP: automaticUtorrent, newest versionfirewall: Comodo firewall proProblem: My downloads were until 4 days ago very good, normal speed, and ports all ok. But then, something happend, i dunno what: utorrent said, that my port was not open (speed guide). so i looked into the router settings for my port forwardings (i had them done before) and there was no entry anymore. So i chose another port for my utorrent, and did what i always do: enter the routersettings and open the chosen port. but it doesnt matter which port i choose, every time utorrent tells me, that it is not open. so i tried to do that while my firewall was NOT running, but that didnt work neither.does anyone have the same problem or can anyone help me?thx a lotXantrias
Firon
Have you tried remaking your rules in Comodo for utorrent?
term3
Hi, yesterday I upgraded automatically from 1.7.7 to 1.8.1 and all of sudden I get the same error like the guy above described, not connectable. I have nod32 2.x.x.x (closing it diditn help also), latest Comodo (I alreday tried removing and readding rules, closing comodo, didnt seem to work), and Spysweeper 5.8. But something strange happend just before It tried to automatically upgrade, it said that utorrent crashed because of NOD32, but then 1.8.1 installed just fine. Thanks for any kind of help
Firon
Try uninstalling NOD32.
Xantrias
Ok, that's weird: I have now deinstalled the firewall even though i applied a rule to allow every incoming and outcoming connection for Utorrent. And now it works...how do i have to set the comodo firewall?...very strange.maybe someone could give me a step by step walkthrough? for the settings, maybe how to set the rules? thanksAnd Firon, i DID try to remake the rules in Comodo for utorrent. I found here in this forum a post about that. but every time i used utorrent.exe as application, it told me that there were already rules for that application and that i have to chose another application...so i couldnt create new rules...maybe i didnt understand the post... if someone could help, i'd be very happy.thanks to allXantrias
Firon
Well, there's a configuration post for Comodo here. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?pid=292343#p292343Have you tried walking through the steps given here? Assuming you're starting with a fresh Comodo, you shouldn't have any issues now.
Xantrias
I used exactly that post, but as I said:when i start to create those rules, it tells me, that there are already rules for utorrent and that i have to chose another application. So I dont really know, what's wrong...but nevermind, i'm gonna keep trying. Thanks Firon
Firon
Well, scan the list of rules and see if there's any entry for utorrent?
term3
I think its not NOD32 but Comodo. The funny thing is that with utorrent 1.7.7 I didint have to set up any rules for utorrent and I was conectable, but with new version 1.8.1 this changed Im gonna have to work on Comodo (v3)
Xantrias
Ok, i know what i did wrong: I used to create a rule for the application, and then applied it. then i wanted to create for the same application another rule instead of adding and apply them all together. That's why it always told me to choose another application...well utorrent seems to like it, cuz it works now. thanks a lot guys.Xantrias
term3
Hi, I managed to solve my problem, the problem was in my ISP modem/router which for no particular reason didnt want to forward anymore the selected port, so I chose another one , and then it worked, go figure.
