Buklen
since the i installed uTorrent 1.8 I haven't been connecting to many seed/peers at all.E.G. in my latest torrent SEEDS: 3(3158) PEERS: 2(4336) now there has to be more then 5 out of over 7000 people online. I've upgraded to 1.8.1 and the problem still persists. i have also have done the standard setup procedure on another post, but it didn't fix my problem. any clues on how to fix this.Additional information: i have set my firewall to allow all. i have port forwarding enabled. half opens set to '8'I Seem to have resolved my own problem, I had it set to Forced DL because i have a scheduler set to not download during the day. i changed my scheduler and allowed it to DL naturally and it seems to be connecting much better. eg. SEEDS: 103(3158) PEERS: 35(4336) but out of that number I'm only Downloading from 10 - 20 of them at a total speed of 50-100kb/s.Oh and another question, how do i find out if my torrents are forwarded properly? like Azurus's colored smiley face system
western32
If the little circle is green, then your ports are forwarded properly.

Switeck
Green light at the bottom of uTorrent's window = you're not firewalled in uTorrent.Yellow or red = firewalled! Are you uploading at a total speed of at least 50 KiloBYTES/second? Buklen
I've got a little yellow sing with a "!" in itI have my port forwarding set up correctly but it does not appear to be open. so is this a common port forwarding problem? Firon
Have you used the port tester in the Speed Guide? Yellow is an indeterminate state, but the port tester would tell you more definitively if it is working or not.
Switeck
Your modem may also contain a router.www.portforward.com routers section lists modems too...Your antivirus may contain an over-aggressive software firewall that's blocking uTorrent as well.
