Nyent
Hello,In the last months I've noticed quite a weird problem:When I run uTorrent, the time required to connect to a server (How long the "Connection to..." line displays in the status bar of the browser.) gets very long then usual, even for internal IPs/hosts like 192.168.1.* and localhost. The problem also affects the trackers, so most trackers get an Offline (timed out) status, making most of the torrents almost useless.Reinstalling Windows did not solve this problem.Does anyone know what might be the source of the problem and how would I fix it?Thanks in Advance. Firon
Upgrade to 1.8.1 stable. Then go into the Advanced section of the preferences and ensure that net.max_halfopen is set to 8.If this does not help, you may be overloading your router. There's some steps listed in this thread that might resolve your problems. http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=15992#p258231
Nyent
Upgrading to 1.8.1 seems to fix the problem. My settings didn't require changing though. Thanks!
