thelittlefire
Suggest not using standard ports 6881-6969 is ... standard these days. Some ISPs do port-based shaping. Additionally you've tried the test torrents (only to download part, the data is unnecessary) http://slackware.com/torrents/ ?Are you seeing http://utorrent.com/faq.php#What_does_Download_Limited_in_the_status_bar_mean.3F ? unknown1138
Hmm, The Slackware test iso, goes around 1mb/s, but the weird thing about it , my torrents I download are like , +18 etc.. rated, and have like 600+ seeds? but don't go faster. Also, Which port do you recommed me to use?, and I aint seeing any of the errors. thelittlefire
Any port you want (above 1024 generally, and not within the "accepted" bittorrent range 6881-6969)... up to 65534.You could even use a random-number generator for any 5 digit number < 65534 ... unfortunately the test torrent going that fast means it's not a limitation on your connection (at least for very fast peers).Go through http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php again and maybe use http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=34259 Switeck's numbers for your upload speed :/
unknown1138
Thanks, my upload was my problem, since I limit it mostly to 1kb/s for faster download, but down always works I see =\..Thanks for your help
thelittlefire
Yeah, I guessed that. I guess you don't have the status bar enabled? Go to the View menu... shortcut keys, F4-F7, toolbar, details, status bar, category pane. You really shouldn't limit your upload like that. If you have trouble with your upload @ the expected amount in either the default speed guide or Switeck's numbers, more investigation warrants. Switeck
What's the upload max for your connection?I mean if you're not ABLE to upload faster than 1 KB/sec...yeah, I can understand why download suffer badly.
