uTorrent 1.8.1 build 12639 NOT Resource-Friendly for ME

My system is XP sp3 (full and registerd, no tweaking or removing of any sorts of the system) 2gig memory.

I always up 25 / dl 25 torrents max.

Long time user of uTorrent v1.6 b474 and uTorrent v1.6.1 b490 (use these because some torrent sites allowes only these version) AND THESE ARE Resource-Friendly for ME.

Updated to uTorrent 1.8.1 build 12639 because I like the functionality when selecting a bunch of torrents I can set the up/dl speed in one go then to open them reperatly.

But I get now randomly spikes in 100% cpu loads, freezing of xp, utorrent not responding.

Please advice at what the problem could be. Is there a way to put some debuging on to file and sent it to you so that you can analyze that.

More than likely, your IDE/SATA controllers have lapsed into PIO transfer mode, due to Windows detecting read problems on the drives. Uninstall the all the controllers in the device manager and reboot.

I came to that conclusion because I've seen it happen many, many times on these forums.
