I had this problem aswell.. a torrent that has been running for about 1 week (bad seeding ^^) and suddenly it stops. saying ERROR: file is being used by another process.

how do i fix this? can anyone please help.

im running avast. but why should avast interferre with one out of 50 files? as the other 49 has worked fine.

and to answer the above question for myself. i was watching a movie when it happened.. so its quite out of the blue.

please help

Posted

it has been persistent with one other file.. i made it work by (every other minute) pressing "resume" on the torrent (im using utorrent). but now it has happened again. on a file thats 65% completed.. and i cant be here the remaining time, pressing resume, when it fails every other minute=P

so. its only persistent on the one file. and thats a media file. 10 seasons of a series.

i didnt know how to get the "log files" so i made a screen of the task managers running prosesses at the time.

i believe it to be a problem with avast. allthough im not sure.

thanks again for helping me =)
