iCE999
Hi there,It would be nice if the add torrent file dialog remembered the settings, at least within the same program session. It starts with large icons sorted by name, and I change it to details view mode and sort it by date. I would expect it to remember the details part.Regards,iCE
Firon
That's Windows that 'forgets.' Nothing we can do about it.
thelittlefire
Technically your description is incorrect, it is the browse dialog which you call from the add torrent dialog. And as Firon says you are asking the wrong people. I'm not sure but I believe since it behaves like any folder window if you have set per-folder view settings it may stay. Then again... sometimes when you browse, it goes back to your root folder, and other times it goes to the last folder opened. All in all, useful request, but not possible to implement I guess since the browse dialog doesn't have anything to "remember".
Ultima
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/cc164009.aspxIt may be possible to do so, but I'm not 100% sure.
thelittlefire
That looks to me like uTorrent needs to keep track of dialog views inside ITS OWN settings, and send the variables to the dialog on open?
Ultima
Correct. Which would be the only way to do so anyhow, since as has been mentioned, there is no guarantee that Windows will bother to remember any of the dialog settings.
