kewrock
Hi folks, this is my first post. I am using the AOL browser, and some torrent sites reject it and demand I use Int. Exp. or Mozilla because they can't read AOL ip addresses. Most sites I connect fine though using AOL. Here's where it gets strange, if I go to those various "what's my ip address" type websites to check my address using AOL I register as a different address at every site. If I go to these sites using Internet Explorer I appear as the same address every time. My question is, am I bit torrenting annonymously using AOL? Or does utorrent have nothing to do with my browsers?
thelittlefire
Completely separate. The AOL browser uses multiple proxies apparently to get you to where you want to go.uTorrent doesn't use proxies unless you tell it to, so it's not likely you'll get any of the same behaviours with uTorrent. What brought you here thinking it could be related?
