tywekssler Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 It will continually connect to 67.236.175.245 versus my static which is 192.168.1.107 how do I get this corrected?
DreadWingKnight Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 There's nothing to correct because of Network Address Translation.
tywekssler Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Posted October 15, 2008 Then why will it not properly forward the port? Or what do I do?
DreadWingKnight Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 What model router do you have?
DreadWingKnight Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 The problem is that linksys routers refuse to forward to IP addresses in their DHCP range (static or not) unless you're using UPnP.
tywekssler Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Posted October 15, 2008 Great. So, is there anything I can do?
DreadWingKnight Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 Set your static ip to 192.168.1.7 and adjust your forwards to match.
DreadWingKnight Posted October 15, 2008 Report Posted October 15, 2008 What internet security software do you have installed?Have you tried enabling UPnP in windows and on your router?
tywekssler Posted October 15, 2008 Author Report Posted October 15, 2008 I have Webroot. I tried enabling it on the router, I'm not sure how to do it in Windows.
