thelittlefire Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 ... http://utorrent.com/setup_guide.php and Ctrl-G speed guide. You DON'T CHANGE ADVANCED SETTINGS without knowing what you're doing. Press F1 to read up.
rit Posted October 16, 2008 Author Report Posted October 16, 2008 I hav checked all settings in that guide.I need ADVANCED SETTINGS tweaks.
thelittlefire Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Read the manual. If you did, then you don't change them.
Switeck Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 Are you looking to max out your download speed, your upload speed, the torrent's average upload or download speed...or just screw everyone else over in the hopes it improves your download speed marginally? ...Because almost every time I hear someone wanting "maximum speed" they seem to mean download speed for them only. Any time you're downloading faster than you're uploading, you're already "winning". Someone has to be uploading faster than they are downloading for that to occur.
rit Posted October 16, 2008 Author Report Posted October 16, 2008 @SwiteckThax for info.Last question: my Utorrent didn't accepts udp trackers it says invalid URL. Is it becoz I forwarded port only for TCP?
GTHK Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 http://www.utorrent.com/faq.php#Does_.C2.B5Torrent_support_HTTPS_.28SSL.29_or_UDP_trackers.3F
DreadWingKnight Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 No. It's because the UDP tracker protocol isn't supported.
GTHK Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 A link that lets you download files, requires DHT to find peers with the appropriate hash: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnet_uri
